Consejos de pronunciacion
- L'œuvre: the 'œu' spelling makes the same rounded vowel sound as in 'peur' — round your lips for 'oh' while saying 'uh'.
- Le patrimoine: '-oi-' sounds like 'wa', so '-moine' sounds like 'mwan' — say pa-tree-mwan.
- Le réalisateur: four syllables — ré-a-li-sa-teur — with the stress landing on the final syllable, not the first as an English speaker might expect.
- Le roman: the final '-an' is a nasal vowel, so it doesn't sound like the English word 'roman' at all — let the air pass through your nose instead of closing on an 'n'.
