The DELF B2 is the most complete French diploma in the DELF system. Passing it takes longer, more systematic preparation than the lower levels, but with the right method it's entirely achievable. Here is the plan our most successful students follow.
16-week study plan for the DELF B2
Months 1-2: Advanced grammar (subjonctif passé, concordance des temps, discours indirect), press vocabulary, listening comprehension with authentic documents. Month 3: Written production (argumentation, essay structure, advanced connectors), reading comprehension with press articles. Month 4: Oral production (presentation of about 10 min + debate), weekly full mock exams, error analysis.

(1) An argumentative text with no clear structure. (2) Always using the same connectors (mais, donc, parce que). (3) Repetitive vocabulary — the examiner wants variety. - Build a bank of expressions and connectors you use systematically in every text you write
- Practise summarising: condense articles into 5-6 sentences — it sharpens both comprehension and production
- Take the oral mock exam as if it were real: dressed properly, sitting correctly, speaking clearly
- Exam week: only review and short mock exams — don't try to learn anything new
