DELF B2 mock exam online: take a free practice test
A mock exam is the single most effective tool for preparing the DELF B2. Simulating the full exam under real conditions teaches you to manage your time, lowers exam-day anxiety, and shows you exactly where you need to improve before the real thing.
Structure of the DELF B2 mock exam
A complete B2 mock exam respects these exact timings: (1) Compréhension de l'oral: 30 min. (2) Compréhension des écrits: 1 hour. (3) Production écrite: 1 hour. Total written papers: 2h 30min. (4) Production orale (separate): 30 min preparation + 20 min exam time. Stick to these timings exactly to get used to real time pressure.
How to analyse your B2 mock exam
After each B2 mock exam: (1) Listening: did you follow each speaker's position? Did you catch the nuances? (2) Reading: did you identify the author's arguments? Did the inference questions trip you up? (3) Writing: was your structure solid? Did you use advanced connectors? Did you hit 250 words? (4) Speaking: did you argue coherently? Did you use varied vocabulary?

Exam tips
- Do 4-5 full mock exams in the 6 weeks before the exam: this is the most effective preparation there is
- Your first mock exams are for diagnosis — don't be discouraged if the results aren't good yet
- Keep an error log: systematic mistakes are the most important ones to fix
- Practise the oral exam too, with DelfOnline or a study partner: don't leave it until the last minute
- In the oral mock exam, record yourself and listen back: it's uncomfortable but extremely effective
