Exam tips
- Learn vocabulary in context: build a sentence with every new word.
- A2 topics are predictable — work, the city, health, leisure, travel — cover all of them.
- Use association: many French words share Latin roots with formal English vocabulary (hôpital/hospital, médecin/medicine), so look for the family resemblance instead of memorising word by word.
- Build a mind map per topic: the topic in the centre, related words on the branches.
- Review vocabulary with flashcards (spaced repetition) to make it stick.
