Making simple what looks difficult

My name is Thierry Gustin. I have been teaching French for over 15 years and have prepared more than 1,500 students for the official exams. At heart, my work has always been the same thing: finding the explanation that turns a difficult idea into an obvious one. The subjunctive, an argued piece of writing, an oral test that frightens you. There is almost always a way of putting it that unlocks everything — and finding that way, for each student, is the part of the job I like most.

The other half of the work is coaching. Preparing for an official exam is not only studying French: it is arriving on the day with a strategy, a working rhythm and a clear head. I have worked with diplomats, with candidates for public-sector competitive exams, with professionals whose transfer to a French-speaking country was at stake, and with students who needed their Erasmus place. For none of them was it a formality: it was a turning point. These exams change lives, and they deserve to be prepared as such.

I teach through Tusclasesparticulares and I created laclassefrancaise.es. But a private lesson reaches one person at a time, at a price not everyone can afford. So I decided to build something else: a complete, accessible system that reproduces what I do in class — explain simply, mark against the real criteria of each paper, and stay with you to the end — so that anyone can prepare and pass their official French exam in the best possible conditions.
